Below you will find brief details of some of the cats and kittens currently in the care
of the West Oxfordshire Branch. Many of these are in temporary foster homes with our experienced fosterers who help the timid ones to find their courage or the sickly ones recuperate.  This list is updated regularly so please check-back often.

If you would like more information about any of these cats or kittens, please contact the Homing Officer on 01993 831350.  Our list of available cats and kittens is constantly changing so please do give us a call, even if you don’t think that your ‘ideal’ cat is listed below.

2008 implementation of Minimum Veterinary Standards means that all cats will be vaccinated, neutered and health-checked before being re-homed.

We do have one or two FIV positive cats who are otherwise fit and well. These cats need loving indoor homes where they will not mix with other cats (unless of course the other cats are also FIV positive). Cats Protection will pay ongoing veterinary costs related to the FIV,

Photos will be added as soon as they become available.

This is me, LUCY LOCKETT and my friend VICTORIA. We came to Cats Protection when our owner died last year. We were really sad and missed being able to curl up on the sofa infront of the TV like we used to.

We are both quite sensible at 11yrs of age but really miss our home comforts and a friendly human or two to call our own. The CP humans are OK but they are busy and we don’t get much time for cuddles.

We might be a little shy until we get to know you but would really like to find a new home where we can stay together for many years to come.

INKY and EBONY-  are approx 6mth old brother and sister who would be ideal as stable cats.

They are from a feral background although thanks to the patience and hard work of their fosterer, they are slowly coming around to the concept of people being friendly!

They would be ideally suited to a domestic stable environment where they will have lots of room but will also continue to have lots of contact with people and can take up posts as resident mouse/rat catchers!

Both cats have been health checked, vaccinated and neutered.

My name is ZENNOR and I am a particularly handsome 9yr old chap who would like to find a new home.

The CP ladies have taken me to the vet for my vaccinations and the vet said that I’m fit and healthy (but I knew that anyway)

I don’t want to live in a house with children as they frighten me and I can be a bit nervous around new people but if you give me time to get used to you then I’m sure we will be good friends...

FARM
/ STABLE CATS

We always have a number of young semi-feral cats whom we would like to place in farm or stable environments where they would make fantastic pest-control agents!

For more information please contact the Homing Officer.

We currently have a number of kittens who are looking for loving family homes.

These are, from the top, Rabbit (male), Peaches (Female), Panda (male). They are siblings who were rescued from the garden of a house. They are all very playful and love their food.

At the bottom are Scarlett and her sister, Dolly, who were hand-reared by one of our fosterers.  Dolly has been lucky enough to find a new home already but Scarlett is still in our care and would love a family to call her own.

For more information please contact the Branch Co-ordinator on 01993 831350

Gabby and Franny are 6 month old sisters who love nothing more than to play with their toys and to chase each others tails.

We would like these two little girls to be homed together as they would be lost without each other.

They would suit a family environment where they would get lots of fuss and attention but without any other cats or dogs.

They’ve both been health-checked and vaccinated.

MERLIN and MAGIC are 11mth old girls who were due to go to their new home, but sadly it has fallen through,

They can be handled but are very nervous and would be best suited to a farm or stable environment where they could be gainfully employed in rodent control and wouldn’t be harassed by too many dogs.

They are both in good health and have been neutered and vaccinated.
